I just came here to post the same thing! I spent like 3 hours last night looking at these. There are a number that go on sale this week. I wonder what they go for? Do you need a CDL to drive one? New Oppo military truck club? Sounds like the only real difficulty with them is the tire inflation system sucks.

I was looking into one of these a few months ago and kick myself in the arse every time I think about not buying it. They're cheap for what you get, and can go/do/run on(and over) anything, awesome machines!

I'm curious as well bc they seem like it's not highly visited. Only 4 days left and I see no bids on anything in Indy.
Not sure about the CDL either

I didn't look at Indy, but there are a lot of trucks for sale in DFW and the south. Lots with low hours/miles. From what I read, they get a major service at 500 hours. I'd feel more comfortable with a 2.5 ton, but there doesn't seem to be that many of those around. I may see if I can visit the Atlanta depot and check them out. It is just down the road from work.
I have no idea what I would do with one of these, but there is one of the GMC TopKick pickups in my neighborhood. It might be worth getting the military truck just so I could tease the guy about his small truck.

Were you looking at the auction site and if so, how much did the go for?

Hard question. I think the desert looks awesome but I think I'd go euro

No it wasn't on the web, I live close too and work on a USA Fort, and they have auctions all the time. It had less than 500 hours on it and it wound up going for $3500 if I remember correctly. I wanted it so bad but at the time I wouldn't have anywhere to store it at. Thing was in perfect working condition too.

It probably cost another $3500 in diesel to get it home.
